Cleanup crews fan out across Wallingford

Posted by Kate Bergman on July 5th, 2010

Enticed by free lunch and coffee from Starbucks, hundreds of volunteers descended on Gas Works Park, South Lake Union and Eastlake this morning to clean up after last night’s spectacular fireworks show.

Volunteers picked up a mountain of trash, not only in the park but up nearby Wallingford streets, in parking lots, and along the Burke-Gilman trail, as well. By noon, most of the area was picked clean by volunteers.
