Two pop culture worlds collided at N. 45th St. and Thackeray this afternoon, as the Star Wars characters from the local 501st Legion chapter, Garrison Titan, tried to re-create the cover image from the Beatles album “Abbey Road.”
Garrison Titan members appear at Comics Dungeon twice a year — on Free Comic Book Day (in May) and as part of the shop’s anniversary sale festivities (this weekend). Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Storm Troopers and other characters from the Star Wars films got honks, waves, and cheers from passing vehicles.
