Have you seen missing boxer puppies?

Posted by Marina on September 7th, 2010

Updated: The puppies have been returned to their owners…for a price. Fiona explains, from the comments section:

We have them home! We are so relieved that they are healthy and safe. they were picked up by someone who basically called us and sold them back to us. We were willing to do anything to get them back.

Fear not, they will be microchipped ASAP (the vet told us to wait until they were neutered at 6 months but I think we will ask to speed this along). As for collars and tags, I need to assess this..two boxers together is a constant wrestling match. there is a high risk of strangling with a collar on. that would be an even worse scenario.

Thank you to everyone who emailed us and phoned us and offered their help and hope. This is a great place we live!……Fiona

Keep your eyes open for these 14-week-old boxer puppies, who escaped from their backyard on 2nd Ave. NE north of N. 45th St. yesterday morning. Their names are Fred and Gus.

The dogs are not wearing ID tags. If you spot one or both of the pups, please contact owner Fiona at 206.498.3669 or Fiona.Westover@gmail.com.

Suggest you look into "limited slip" collars. They are slack but tighten up when leashed and have built-in stops to prevent strangulation.

The people you bought them back from will steal them again when they've spent the money you gave them.
Call the police and file a report. By not doing so you are encouraging them to do this again and again.
  • Great to read that you have your pups! It's messed up to know you had to buy them back. Although I have a dog and would more than likely do the same thing to get him back.

So sorry to hear about your missing pups. Might it also be possible that someone took them out of your back yard? Seems to be happening a lot more lately...

PLEASE tag your pets!! I find so many wandering dogs with no tags or only a phone number. Put the tag and I can return your dog to the yard
