No, not for snack time. Once a year, Cool Whip, candy and costumes take center stage at the Wallingford Boys & Girls Club for the Halloween Hoopla. This year’s fright fest will be on Saturday, October 30th, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Jacqui Kramer, a Wallingford mom and Boys & Girls Club board member, alerted us that the club needs donations of some essential ingredients for a successful Hoopla.

Items high on the list include:

  • Cool Whip (or off-brand whipped topping) for the “Cream the Counselor” booth. We ALWAYS run out of this, so it’s high on the list.
  • Baked goods for the cake walk (drop-off Oct. 29 during center hours)
  • Bags of Halloween Candy for prizes
  • Small halloween toys for prizes (e.g., Spider rings)

All items except the baked goods can be dropped off now at Center’s front desk. The center is located on 45th near the corner of Stone Way (just east of Archie McPhee’s).

Our annual fright fest will be on Saturday, October 30th, from 6-9 p.m. Come in costume and bring your friends for a great time: haunted house (scary-for older youth), Frankenstein’s Lab (perfect for all), carnival games, a cake walk, arts & crafts, and much more! Entry is just $1 for five tickets. Bring cans for our local food bank for more tickets.

For more info, please call 206-547-7261 or email wallingford@positiveplace.org.
