Ready for natural disasters? How about zombies?

Sustainable Wallingford Community Preparedness wants to make sure we’re ready for anything. When even Newsweek wonders on a recent cover “Tsunamis. Earthquakes. Nuclear Meltdowns. Revolutions. Economies on the brink. What the #&%! is next?” is it too much a stretch to get ready for zombies?

Tomorrow, April 16, from 10 am to 2 pm, outside of the Wallingford Center (1815 N. 45th St.), Sustainable Wallingford Community Preparedness will have handouts on “How to respond better to earthquakes, zombie attacks, and other emergencies at the neighborhood level.” You’ll also find the Wallingford spring clean will dispatch from the same spot. From the organizers:

Activities will include a raffle, scavenger hunt, and special prizes for zombies. We’ll be checking in every hour on the hour by radio with the Green Lake Community Preparedness group to track their zombie preparedness status.

Hello Earth Day Community Preparedness is supported by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and Co-Sponsored by Wallingford Community Preparedness, Sustainable Wallingford, Wallingford Neighborhood Office, Wallingford Meaningful Movies, and Wallingford Chamber of Commerce.
