Happy Earth Day to Wallingford, a neighborhood that embraces the “reduce, reuse, recycle” philosophy every day.
How fitting that one of Seattle’s big Earth Day celebrations will take place tomorrow, April 23, at Gas Works Park. The Sierra Club, CoolMom, Earth Ministry, Washington Environmental Council and Climate Solutions are hosting a free community event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park that’s a model of creative recycling.
More details from Sierra Club/Coal-Free Washington:
Join the Environmental Community for a free Earth Day Celebration where will celebrate a milestone in the Coal-Free Washington campaign with the anticipated transition of the TransAlta Coal Plant. What: We will have a terrific line up of bands and speakers, as well as free food, and a great kite making activity for all ages. Also, the first 100 people will get a free tree to plant.
Who:
