A former part-time counselor at the Wallingford Boys & Girls Club (1310 N 45th St.) has been charged with sexual misconduct, according to SeattlePI.com. According to the news site, King County prosecutors say that 24-year-old Julian Alfred Young had sex last October with a 16-year-old girl who was attending the club. Young is not being charged with rape, but first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor and prosecutors say Young abused his position of authority.
Young, who had worked at the club since September 2009, was fired the same month these allegations came to light, Rachel Doxtater, communications director for Boys & Girls Clubs of King County told SeattlePI.com. “We’ve worked closely with authorities and the safety of our kids remains our highest priority,” she said.
