"Have a Say" about Metro's proposed 2012 changes

King County Metro has long been figuring out how to reduce service to fit budget constraints, and has come up with recommended service changes to present to the King County Council in early December. However, they’re opening the discussion to the larger community on Sunday with an information table at the Wallingford QFC from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

According to Metro’s calendar:

Metro will be changing the transit system in September 2012 to coordinate with Seattle’s new RapidRide C and D lines and to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the transit system in communities such as Seattle, Burien, Des Moines, SeaTac, and Tukwila. Visit this information table to learn more and share your thoughts about Metro’s system improvement concepts.

More specific information about route changes and deletions can be found at Metro’s “Get in the Know” site. Additionally, Metro is asking riders to fill out a survey about the proposed changes.

  1. It appears that Metro was a no show at QFC.  Stopped by about 5:00 and they were no where to be found.  A QFC employee said that a table was set up but taken down when Metro didn't show.  So much for communtiy input.

  2. As it turns out, Metro left early on Sunday. I was there at 4 and saw a woman answering questions, but it sounds like she left before you arrived.
