Not a Number's grand reopening today

Not a Number moved out of Wallingford last month, and today they have couple special events to celebrate the reopening in Fremont.

At 2 p.m., “author & cool local guy David Volk signs and tells us his secrets in his ‘Cheap Bastard’s Guide to Seattle’!  10 percent off his book, and get an autographed copy,” writes Kara Ceriello from Not a Number.  From 3 to 4 p.m. is a performance by Swords to Plows, a local trio of Vietnam vets playing protest songs of the ’60s. “Some funny, some serious, but a seriously good time,” says Ceriello. “We’re sure to have some political discussion too.”
The store will also be holding a fundraiser for longtime employee Carol, “the saucy redhead who worked for us and other local biz, played guitar during Art Walk, and was a gypsy fortuneteller at Halloween several years,” explains Ceriello. “Carol had brain surgery last year. She recovered better than most, but isn’t well enough to work yet. We want to help with basics like food and utilities during recovery.” Ceriello asks that any donations be left with her at the store, or sent to Not a Number Loves Carol, 720 N. 35th St. Ste. 102, Seattle 98103.
