Picture-perfect Wallingford Kiddies Parade

Updated: With the weather in the 80s, well over a thousand people gathered to watch the 61st annual Wallingford Kiddies Parade this morning.

Drill teams (lots of them this year), bands, schools, the Seafair Pirates and Blue Thunder were among those who marched in the parade. The All City band (above) put on quite a show in front of the QFC.

Cub Scout Pack 144 kicked off the parade with the red, white and blue.

And like every year, kids rode in wagons, toy cars and all kinds of fancy vehicles.

One of the highlight performances came from The Dolls Drill Team, which dazzled the crowd with quick steps and twirling parasols. (Video below).

Also a drill team, the Electronetts wore pink costumes that lit up the parade.

Family, friends and neighbors lined the street to watch the big event.

The kiddies parade is a Seafair event, after all, and a few kids played the part.

Kids with Jae Hun Kim Tae Kwon Do broke boards for the enthusiastic crowd.

This little girl stopped on her bike to pose for a photo.

And we can’t resist posting this photo of a girl in her wagon.

Here’s video of the Blue Thunder, the Seahawks drum line, as well as The Dolls Drill team as they performed for the judges. What a show!

For lots more photos of the parade, take a look at the album we posted on our Facebook page (and become a fan, if you’re not already.) And scroll below or click here for photos from the Street Fair.
